the take
i am in awe of all that maisie creates but especially florescence. ranging from a heart-aching breakup to a loving relationship that makes you want to go back to your hometown, instead of running away from it, this album has something for everyone. she dips her creative self into the similar sound of early maisie and, while her voice has matured and she has grown, it ignites the nostalgia this album possesses. the lyricism is on another level. every line written for a reason, each word intentionally placed. she is a force to be reckoned with. she will have you dancing around your bedroom and she will have you crying on the bathroom floor. this album has genuinely been on repeat since it was released two weeks ago and all i can say is: it is only up from here, because maise is about to go skyrocketing.
