Revengeseekerz
“When I first skimmed Jane Remover’s Revengeseekerz, just hearing the first 30 seconds of each track, I was immediately turned off. I pushed a full listen back indefinitely—I didn’t see how this could be as praised as people were making it out to be. Eventually, I gave in just to see how disappointing it might be. And honestly, the first three tracks almost made me regret pressing play. Then something clicked—somewhere around “angels in camo,” I started to understand the direction Jane was going in, or at least their perspective. Rage mixed with digicore sounds strange on paper, but it actually works here. That said, the album is all over the place. The constant production switches make it hard to settle into each track, and while that chaos feels intentional, it also makes the experience hit-or-miss. Jane’s vocals are mixed pretty inconsistently too, which fits the sound but doesn’t always help. There are definitely highlights—“Fadeoutz,” “Dreamflasher,” and especially “Dancing with your eyes closed,” which is easily the best track. But a lot of the album sits in that middle ground: not bad, just not something I’d revisit often. Still, I respect the risk. This is experimental, left-field, and clearly resonates with its audience. Even if it didn’t fully click for me, I can appreciate the vision. At the very least, I’m glad I didn’t stick with my first impression and call it trash.”

“BANGER ALERT. 9.5 because there were some songs where i lost interest but the two I liked the most were “idling somewhere” and “cage girl/camgirl”. Video was a banger as well. Spotify wrapped is gonna be so tea this year”

“I can understand why Jane might not fw this album anymore but regardless it is a modern classic. It might come off as a bit harsh or abrasive to new listeners but once you get past that very superficial aspect, you realize how beautiful this album really is. I encourage anyone who hasn’t heard this to not let the album scare you off because it really is a special project.”
