Forever Is A Feeling
“"Forever Is a Feeling" is honestly my introduction to Lucy Dacus' music, though I have seen her name pop up online via other people in the last couple of years or so. Even with that said, though, I didn't know what to expect from her music. I didn't expect it to be consistently good, though. It might be safe to say that the songwriting on here is quite incredible, which makes these collection of tracks as a whole already worth listening to. The album is filled with themes of the pros and cons of love from an introspective lens at Lucy's current stage in life. Add that with the production and instrumentation used to craft the musical backdrop and you have a marriage of a great album. While there are some strong tracks on here that maintained my interest throughout, such as "For Keeps" and the Hozier-assisted "Bullseye", there are times where "Forever Is a Feeling" can come off as a bit... lackluster. That might be a harsh word to use, considering there's only one song that's average at best, but I think it might be due to me not being able to handle an album full of mellow tracks for a long period of time. That said, Lucy Dacus' "Forever Is a Feeling" is really good. Hell, it's really borderline amazing. Either way, I can definitely appreciate Lucy's approach to art.”

Forever Is A Feeling: The Archives
“Lucy Dacus' "Forever Is a Feeling" may have grew off me a bit in the time since I've first listened to it, but it's still a good album to spin every now and again. That said, the extra tracks that are from "the archives" complement the original body of work well. The best bonus track here is easily "Time in a Bottle", but all these extra songs help put me deep in my feels whenever I'm in the mood to be emotional. That goes double for the wedding version of "Best Guess", btw. Good additions to an already good album.”

Historian
“This is probably also the greatest album of all time. People are sleeping on this entire album when they only listen to Night Shift. Arguably, Night Shift is likely, probably, the best song of all time, so I understand, but you really have to keep going in the album. This is such an awesome indie rock masterpiece filled with impressive rock arrangements and, most notably, religious or Christian imagery and symbolism. Albeit the Christian imagery is not necessarily pro, it is still fun to pick out those hidden messages. Best song: Night Shift”
