That is, we made an album about resolve. It’s upbeat because there’s a lot of resolve to be found in joy. And while humans have a lot of bad things going for us, we can be pretty great at the joy part.\n\nWe are a Vancouver-based acoustic folk-roots group headed by songwriters Adrian Glynn and Brendan McLeod, and joined by banjo player Chris Suen (Viper Central) and violinist Carly Frey (The Coal Porters). No Help Coming, is about the climate emergency, a different type of crisis from our previous album, Trench Songs, which brought WW1 poems written by young soldiers, into a musical force that earned a JUNO nomination, numerous CFMA and WCMA nominations. We've toured extensively through Europe, Canada, and the UK. We’ve entertained crowds at most major Canadian folk festivals, performed a slot at the renowned UK Glastonbury festival, and toured opening for Buffy Sainte-Marie.\n\nIn 2020, we also unveiled Ridge, a WW1-centered theatre show, which was named a Globe & Mail “Top Arts Pick of\nthe Year”.\n\nSee us on tour and you'll experience an unforgettable live show, brimming with complex harmonies, infectious storytelling and top-notch musicianship - don't take our word, listen to the CBC who described our show as: “Simply brilliant.”"}]}
