“I fell in love with this album in 2021 during my senior year of high school and in those days I was always fucking dreamingggg. When I listen to this album I go back getting pink and blue snow cones after school and longing for the freedom to get my self into a situation that would land me waiting in the city on the park bench in the middle of the pouring rain or at Coachella really in it for a minute because it’s Woodstock in my mind. Get Free is my favorite song on this album. Once, I was in an abandoned TNT dome in the woods and I was watching the smoke from my cigarette slowly dance through the air. The twists, the curls, the slow delicate movement. It felt so beautiful. I was just standing still, watching, taking in the beauty of this simple mundane thing that when I focused in on it, became a fucking spectacle. In that moment I thought, this is what it’s all about. Simply existing and taking in beauty. I felt so at peace and so free in that moment. I heard Get Free in my head while I was out in those woods and I listened to it over and over in the following days thinking about the experience. I felt as if I had figured out how to quit playing the toxic game of life and start actually living it in a natural state that felt true to the essence of my being. I figured out how to move out of the black and into the blue.”
