Led Zeppelin IV (Remaster)

Led Zeppelin

This is probably the greatest rock album of all time. Everyone is absolutely locked in and performing at the highest level on this album. It has no skips whatsoever. From the electric opening of Black Dog, to the chugging rhythm of When the Levee Breaks there’s something to find every listen. It’s haunting, it’s surreal, it’s energetic, it’s tear jerking, it’s peak Zeppelin. This wouldn’t be a review of Zeppelin IV without mentioning Stairway. It’s essentially three songs in one, it’s unreal the guitar is insane. Plant’s vocals are haunting and cryptic, soaring and emotional. It’s the quintessential rock song of all time. If you’ve never listened, please do yourself a favor. Look into the imagery and esoteric-ness, just deep dive the lore and lyrics. Fave songs: Black Dog, Battle of Evermore, Stairway to Heaven, Going to California, When the Levee Breaks Skips: Absolutely None.

Here Comes Everybody (Remaster)

The Wake

This album is beautiful yearning. It’s melancholic and the noise that is consistent throughout creates this almost numbing quality that further pushes that sadness that permeates the record. Melancholy man is one of the saddest songs probably ever recorded. RIP Van Gogh Faves: Melancholy Man, World of Her Own, Pale Spectre, O Pamela No skips for me :)
