5TH AMNDMNT

HXG

If rage rap is supposed to feel like a mosh pit at 3 a.m., this album captures that perfectly. The production is built around distorted synth leads, blown-out bass, and minimalist drum patterns Producers like F1LTHY, KP Beatz, and Cxdy craft beats that feel industrial and menacing but still incredibly catchy. Tracks like: • “Gunz in SOHO” • “LexLuger” • “B5” immediately establish the album’s tone—high-energy rage music with a darker edge. One of the biggest reasons this album works is the contrast between the two rappers. • Homixide Meechie delivers aggressive, animated performances with sharp cadence changes. • Homixide Beno! is more laid-back and repetitive, acting almost like a rhythmic anchor. The back-and-forth dynamic gives the project a punk-rap energy. It’s not about lyrical complexity—it’s about momentum. And when the duo hits their stride, it’s electric. The biggest strength of 5TH AMNDMNT is its atmosphere. The album feels like: • speeding through Atlanta at night • flashing neon lights • distorted speakers in a warehouse party This aesthetic is part of the broader Opium movement, which blends punk, rage rap, and underground trap into a dark futuristic style. 5TH AMNDMNT feels like the moment Homixide Gang fully realized their potential. Compared to earlier projects: • Homixide Lifestyle introduced their sound • Snot or Not was more inconsistent • 5TH AMNDMNT feels focused and refined 5TH AMNDMNT is one of the most complete rage rap projects of the Opium era. It captures the raw chaos of the underground scene while still delivering memorable tracks and a cohesive aesthetic. Homixide Gang prove that they aren’t just supporting players in the Opium universe—they’re one of the movement’s most important acts.

So Cunt.

Diorvsyou

Tracks like “Nosferatu” and “I.S.S.” show this style well. The beats feel slightly eerie and otherworldly, giving the project a loose theme of alienation and late-night intoxication. The plugg influences also make the record feel connected to the Atlanta underground scene, which is currently blending rage and cloud rap aesthetics. The downside is that the production palette doesn’t evolve much across the project. Since the album is only 15 minutes long, this isn’t a huge problem—but if it were longer, the sonic repetition would become more noticeable. Diorvsyou’s vocal style fits the production well. His delivery is laid-back and melodic, often sounding slightly detached, almost like he’s floating over the beat rather than aggressively attacking it. This approach works especially well on tracks like: • “Outta Hea” – dreamy synths and spaced-out delivery • “I Wonder” – slightly more introspective tone • “Royal Rumble” – a more energetic, flex-heavy track referencing pop culture like wrestling. Lyrically, So Cunt. isn’t trying to be profound. The themes are mostly: • flexing • partying and intoxication • alienation / “rockstar” energy • occasional introspection One of the more interesting moments comes in “I Wonder,” where Diorvsyou briefly questions whether any of his lifestyle actually means anything The project’s biggest structural issue is its extremely short runtime. At 15 minutes, the album feels more like: • a mixtape sampler • or a collection of SoundCloud loosies This can be a strength—because the project never drags—but it also prevents it from feeling like a fully developed statement. Some listeners have described the project as “rough around the edges” and lacking a clear sense of purpose So Cunt. is a solid underground rap project with strong vibes and good production, but it feels more like a promising step in Diorvsyou’s evolution than a defining release.
