Alvvays is one of my favourite bands. I discovered this album in my first year of college and it spoke to me. Everything about this debut feels sincere, with starry-eyed love songs and moodier pieces where Rankin's voice cuts above the noise. This may not be as refined as their other two offerings, but it will always hold a special place in my heart.
