Very confused on the direction Malcolm took this album. Especially as a follow up to his last record Malcolm Todd which has some of his best work on it. I think truthfully the best description of this album is it’s very freaky at times. Like weirdly so, had me at times just cringe from the lyrics he decided to not only write, but record, produce, and listen back too and go “yeah this shit fire.” There’s a few standouts here for me, I Saw Your Face, Difficult Love, Lonely Song, and Gun To My Head are all legitimate bangers but man. The lows are very low. I know he can do better, he just has to Do That Again…
