“Un projet que j’ai mis du temps à apprécier (et c’est toujours le cas) les sonorités ne plaisent pas toujours, j’ai du mal à savoir où va l’album par moment. Mais les quelques morceaux que j’apprécie font partit de mes préféré de leur discographie”

“Favorite Song: Points of Authority Least Favorite Song: N/A A debut album with no skips is rare. A genre defining album that completely captures what LINKIN PARK is and always will be. The raw vocals from Chester Bennington pairs well with the R&B of Mike Shinoda. Masterful musical writing by Shinoda as well with emotion built into each and every chord. Points of Authority: By far my favorite song of the album (step aside In the End) for several reasons. The aspect of this song that captured my attention was the Dropped Fifth bass featured in the song. The low bass line immediately peaked my interest and begged a second listen on my initial spin of the album. The overwhelming presence of the bass is to this day incredible. The unique main riff as well. I would love to hear the original riff Shinoda made before running it through a program and mixing it up. A main riff that features no audible strumming? Yes please!”

Blending nu-metal, rap, and electronic textures, the record feels both aggressive and meticulously constructed. It thrives on emotional directness. Themes of alienation, frustration, and internal conflict are delivered without pretension. Chester brings a raw, aching intensity, while Mike balances it with sharp, rhythmic verses that ground the chaos. Musically, the album is airtight. The guitar work is heavy yet clean, the turntables and programming add texture rather than gimmick, and the rhythm section locks everything into a tight core. The album isn’t narrative-driven, but it is unified by mood. It’s a record about pressure and the push-pull between vulnerability and aggression. That cohesion, paired with its polished execution, gives it lasting power. Fav Track One Step Closer”
