Live In Japan

Engelbert Humperdinck

Engelbert Humperdinck is one of the greatest performers of the 70s. The consistency of his vocals, his body language, and his ability to fluidly communicate with the crowd and his band creates for an excellent live experience, both in the room then and in our ears now. This live album was recorded during the height of his career in 1975 during one of his most successful tours ever. He took a similar setlist and band with him across the world, from Bermuda to London to Japan, singing a mix of his older and current hits along with a few other popular songs of the time. A few notable tracks include “All I Ever Need Is You”, “Without You”, “Love Is All”, and, of course, his big finisher, “Release Me”.

Don't You Love Me Anymore

Engelbert Humperdinck

After years of ballads, Engelbert’s music took a turn in the early 80s, revealing a softer, more vulnerable side of himself. One key difference of this album is heavy use of electric keyboards on top of the ensemble and band, giving it a nostalgic, reminiscent feel to it. This is also the first album where Engelbert experimented with a little bit of country, with “Baby Me Baby”, which he would later perform at the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel in 1982 with an unparalleled energy.

Live In Concert / All of Me

Engelbert Humperdinck

This album presents a slightly more modern take on a few of Engelbert’s biggest hits, like “The Last Waltz” and “Spanish Eyes”. Along with the grandiose of the orchestra and band behind him, Engelbert gets to sing these songs with his new-found gentleness of the late 70s while still pushing through with his incredible vocals at the height of the music. These songs are arranged a little bit differently than the originals, giving them the perfect mix of groove and a certain jumpiness that’s super easy to sway in rhythm with.
